Welcome to Sheridan Township.  We are located in the south central portion of Michigan.  Sheridan Township is primarily a rural community with the exception of the southern portion, which encompasses the City of Albion.  The township has many cultural and business institutions that are important to our area including Kellogg Community College Eastern Academic Center, the Starr Commonwealth for boys, and The Anderson's Albion Ethanol LLC plant.

-Sheridan Township Office hours are Monday's 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Tuesday's, Wednesday's, and Thursday's from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.  Social distancing will be enforce and masks are to worn inside the building.

-PROPERTY TAXES:   Taxes can be paid at the Sheridan Township Office on Monday's from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Tuesday's, Wednesday's, and Thursday's from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.  The taxes can be paid with CASH OR CHECK.   The Sheridan Township Office will also be open on Monday December 28, 2020 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m to collect taxes for the end of the year.

The Sheridan Township Board of Trustees will hold its Regular Township Board Meeting on

Tuesday, January 19, 2021 beginning at 7:00 p.m electronically without in person attendance,

to the extent permitted by law, to stop the spread of COVID-19. If not permitted by law, the

The Township Board may take action on the items listed in the following agenda: Call to Order/

Pledge; ROLL CALL with Officials stating their location (in my home, Sheridan Township,

Michigan); Approval of Agenda; Approval of previous Township Board Minutes; Payment of

Bills; Treasurers Report; Correspondence; Committee Reports; Planning Commission/Roads -

Scott Frederick - Fire - Chief Lance Lohrke; Emergency Management Ordinance; Public

Comment; Unfinished Business; New Business, Review and adopt new Sheridan Township Web

site, Adjust Fire Department Budget items, Discuss beginning discussions with City of Albion it

provide fire protection for the city; adjourn. Take note, this agenda may be amended as permitted

by law up to and during the meeting.

Members of the public will only be able to speak during the public comment portion of the

meeting, and public hearing portion, and such comment will be limited to three minutes per

person. To provide for orderly public participation, a person wishing to speak must state their

name and request to be recognized by the Township Supervisor. The Supervisor will recognize

all persons wishing to speak during public comment. If, prior to the meeting, members of the

public have certain questions or wish to provide input on any business that will be addressed at

the meeting then such persons may contact the Township Board members through Township
