Welcome to Sheridan Township.  We are located in the south central portion of Michigan.  Sheridan Township is primarily a rural community with the exception of the southern portion, which encompasses the City of Albion.  The township has many cultural and business institutions that are important to our area including Kellogg Community College Eastern Academic Center, the Starr Commonwealth for boys, and The Anderson's Albion Ethanol LLC plant.

-Sheridan Township office will be open Monday's and Thursday's from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

-PROPERTY TAXES will be collected on Monday's and Thursday's from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. or they can be put in the DROP BOX ATTACHED TO THE BUILDING.  Anyone needing a receipt please enclose a sell addressed envelope.

-ELECTION ABSENTEE VOTER INFORMATION can also be put in the DROP BOX ATTACHED TO THE BUILDING.

To: The residents and property owners of Sheridan Township, Calhoun County, Michigan, and
any other interested parties.
Pursuant to the provisions of Executive Order No. 2020-154 issued by Governor Gretchen Whitmer,
notice is hereby given that the Sheridan Township Planning Commission will hold a remote
Planning Commission Special Meeting on Thursday August 13, 2020 beginning at 7:00 p.m.
This meeting is being held remotely to stop the spread of COVID-19. The public hearing is for
consideration of a conditional use permit application for a church to operate at 13526 29 Mile Road,
Albion, MI. 49224, Parcel ID 19-250-057-10. The subject property is currently zoned RB, Medium
Density Residential; per Section 5.03C. of the Sheridan Township zoning ordinance, church,
community, and governmental buildings require a conditional use permit.
The electronic Sheridan Township Special Planning Commission Meeting will be held as a video
conference. The public may participate in the electronic Sheridan Township Special Planning
Commission Meeting by logging into www.zoom.us and entering the meeting ID and password code
when prompted. The public will be able to listen to all discussion by Sheridan Township Planning
Commission members and will be permitted to speak for up to 3 minutes during the public comment
section of the agenda.

Members of the public will only be able to speak during the public comment portion of the meeting
and such comment will be limited to three minutes per person. To provide for orderly public
participation, a person wishing to speak must state their name and request to be recognized by the
Township Planning Commission Chairperson. The Chairperson will recognize all persons wishing to
speak during public comment. If, prior to the meeting, members of the public have certain questions
or wish to provide input on any business that will be addressed at the meeting then such persons may
contact Planning Commission members through Stephanie Craig, Township Clerk, by email to
clerk.sheridan.twp@gmail.com, or by mail at the address below . A copy of the meeting materials
and agenda through the Township and may be examined at Sheridan Township Hall from 9:00 a.m.
to 4:00 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays hereafter until the time of said meeting. The Township will
provide necessary reasonable auxiliary aids and services to individuals with disabilities at the
meeting upon 72 hour advance notice by contacting the Township Clerk, by email, phone, or mail at
the below.
