Sheridan Township Board of Trustees Meeting

I. Call to Order: The meeting was called to order by Richard Porter at 11:00 am.
II. Present: Roll call: Stephanie Craig, Richard Porter, and Hayley England
Absent: Randy Fisher, Scott Frederick
III. Approval of Agenda: A motion was made by Stephanie, 2nd by Hayley to accept the agenda as presented. All in favor, the motion passed.
IV. Public Comment. None
V. New Business
1. Vote on amending Resolution 2022-15 to make revisions as required by the Michigan Department of Treasury and/or State Tax Commission in references to payment in lieu of taxes. A motion was made by Hayley, 2nd by Stephanie to authorize the Township Attorney to amend Resolution 2022-15, with such revisions being retroactive to Resolution 2022-15, passed on December 5, 2022, at a special meeting of the Township Board, to remove all references to a payment in lieu of taxes, and any other revisions as may be required by the Michigan Department of Treasury and/or the State Tax Commission. Roll call vote. All in favor, the motion passed
2. Vote on amending Resolution 2022-17 to make revisions as required by the Michigan Department of Treasury and/or State Tax Commission in references to payment in lieu of taxes. A motion was made by Hayley, 2nd by Stephanie to authorize the Township Attorney to amend Resolution 2022-17, with such revisions being retroactive to Resolution 2022-17, passed on December 5, 2022, at a special meeting of the Township Board, to remove all references to a payment in lieu of taxes, and any other revisions as may be required by the Michigan Department of Treasury and/or the State Tax Commission. Roll call vote. All in favor, the motion passed
VI. Adjourn: A motion was made by Hayley, 2nd by Stephanie to adjourn at 11:03 am. All in favor, the motion passed
